Description

Blackened salmon wraps with spicy avocado. So delicious and a perfect weeknight meal! The salmon is coated in bold spices, then cooked to perfection, and layered in a wrap with an avocado sriracha spread, and a crispy slaw mix.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 salmon filets, cut down the middle
  • 3 tbsp paprika
  • 1 tbsp garlic powder, 1/2 tsp separately
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 1 avocado
  • Sriracha
  • 1 cup slaw mix (I get premade)
  • 23 tsp light mayo
  • 1 lime
  • 2 tortillas or wraps of choice
  • Cotija cheese and cilantro, to top

Instructions

  1. Cut salmon filets in half lengthwise, and pay dry. In a small bowl, mix above seasonings together and pat/spread over the salmon filets
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, add oil, then add salmon filets face-down
  3. Cook for 4-5 minutes without moving it, to allow the seasoning to stick to the salmon, getting crispy. Flip after 5 or so minutes, and cook a few more minutes until no longer pink in the middle
  4. While salmon is cooking, add 1-1.5 cups of slaw mix to a bowl, mixing in mayo, garlic powder, a little fresh lime juice. In a separate bowl, add avocado and sriracha and mix — set these aside
  5. Toast wraps or tortillas of choice in a skillet or over a stove top (optional), and spread 1/2 the avocado-sriracha mix, adding a pinch of salt
  6. Next, add the slaw mix, topping with the salmon and adding Cotija, cilantro, and fresh lime juice — enjoy!
